ABOUT ALART
Alart began as the Night of Art in Alaró, organised by the Department of Festivities and the Department of Culture of Alaró Town Hall, with the collaboration and coordination of Tomeu Simonet. Its first edition took place in August 2007, and since then it has become a public success and a benchmark for quality.
Alart is a cultural project that brings together different artistic proposals and expressions, including music, contemporary dance, and major exhibitions held in municipal spaces such as Casal Son Tugores and the Town Hall, in public spaces like various streets of the village, and in private venues such as restaurants, shops, galleries, and art centres. It is a window into current visual creation, representing various creative techniques such as photography, painting, video art, sculpture, and installation.
The spirit of Alart is to offer interesting exhibitions that feature both local artists and artists from different nationalities, with special emphasis on those living in Alaró. In this way, Alart displays representative works by various artists with recognised national and international careers, making Alaró a key place for the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art.
